Côtes du Roussillon villages | Red | 2021

The Domaine's vineyards, situated on three distinct plots, benefit from varied exposures and granitic and clay soils. Hand-harvesting, followed by fermentation with indigenous yeasts, ensures the fruit is at its freshest. The balanced blend of Grenache Noir and Syrah is then aged in concrete tanks to preserve the purity of its aromas and the wine's delicate texture. The entire process is meticulously vinified to produce a vibrant and brilliant wine.

Our opinion on the vintage

This wine reveals itself with its translucent, deep ruby color and delicate nose, a blend of flowers and red fruits like cherry and raspberry, with spicy hints of pepper and bay leaf. On the palate, it coats the mouth with a fresh, finely velvety texture, offering enticing, slightly spicy fruit. The finish, rich and lingering, is enhanced with notes of raspberry, violet, and white pepper, leaving an insatiable desire to return. This wine seduces with its supple texture and beautiful freshness.

Languedoc | France

A trained oenologist and a true free spirit in Languedoc, Jeff Carrel is one of those winemakers who have profoundly revitalized the image of wines from the South of France. For over twenty-five years, he has been exploring Languedoc terroirs with a simple yet demanding idea: to reveal the best of each grape variety, each plot, without ever masking the wine's identity.

Based in Roussillon, Jeff Carrel works hand in hand with a collective of partner winemakers called Les Amis de Jeff Carrel. Together, they select grapes from carefully chosen terroirs, cultivated with respect for the environment, to produce cuvées that are precise, delicious, and consistently excellent.

His style is distinguished by very expressive wines, driven by fruit, freshness, and balance, far from the heavy reds often associated with the South. Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, and Chardonnay are crafted with finesse to create ... Lire plus
