Vin de France | Red | 2024

This 100% Mourvèdre wine is carefully crafted using organic methods. The clay-siliceous soil and close pruning give the vineyard a unique character. Vinification without sulfites, with cold pre-fermentation and indigenous yeasts, ensures an authentic expression of the grape variety. Aging on fine lees in stainless steel tanks for ten months adds finesse and balance to this wine, which is both understated and luscious.

Our opinion on the vintage

This Mourvèdre displays a translucent garnet robe that immediately catches the eye. On the nose, it seduces with delicate aromas of candied fruit and sweet spices. On the palate, one discovers a round and enveloping texture, with a velvety substance that exudes elegance. Flavors of cherry, blackcurrant, and a touch of cocoa enrich a long and concentrated finish. This wine will surprise with its intense fruitiness on the palate, contrasting beautifully with the restraint perceived on the nose, thus offering a balanced and refined tasting experience.

Languedoc | France

A trained oenologist and a true free spirit in Languedoc, Jeff Carrel is one of those winemakers who have profoundly revitalized the image of wines from the South of France. For over twenty-five years, he has been exploring Languedoc terroirs with a simple yet demanding idea: to reveal the best of each grape variety, each plot, without ever masking the wine's identity.

Based in Roussillon, Jeff Carrel works hand in hand with a collective of partner winemakers called Les Amis de Jeff Carrel. Together, they select grapes from carefully chosen terroirs, cultivated with respect for the environment, to produce cuvées that are precise, delicious, and consistently excellent.

His style is distinguished by very expressive wines, driven by fruit, freshness, and balance, far from the heavy reds often associated with the South. Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, and Chardonnay are crafted with finesse to create ... Lire plus
