Cabardès | Red | 2023

Réquieu has achieved a perfect alchemy between Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Grenache on the clay-limestone slopes of Cabardès, benefiting from the unique Atlantic-Mediterranean influence. Vinification includes hand-harvesting with carbonic maceration for the Syrah, guaranteeing roundness and smoothness on the palate. This structured wine impresses with its harmony and subtle complexity, making it a perfect match for sophisticated dishes.

Our opinion on the vintage

This wine will seduce you with its deep garnet color and an intense nose of black fruit, black olive, and pepper. With each sip, the palate reveals a full and velvety texture, harmoniously woven around notes of ripe plum, cocoa, and delicately faded flowers such as violet and peony. The finish, concentrated yet balanced, offers a indulgent experience with hints of damson plum, hot chocolate, and sweet spices. Ideally served between 16 and 18°C, it perfectly complements complex dishes or aged cheeses.

Domaine de Cabrol

Languedoc | France

Cabardès plays on the meeting of Atlantic and Mediterranean influences, and the Cabrol estate has been exploring this intersection for decades. Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Grenache coexist here, producing luminous, vibrant wines supported by fine tannins. Vinification prioritizes the wine's delicate texture, avoiding heavy extraction, and allows for a clear expression of the limestone terroir. The result is an ethereal, almost graphic balance, enhanced by discreet aging. Cabrol has long demonstrated that this still relatively unknown appellation possesses a truly unique character.
