Happy Time 2023

Côtes de Gascogne | White | 2023

This wine is made from Gros Manseng grapes, grown on hillsides with a terroir rich in clay, silt, and gravel, and an ideal southern exposure. After a carefully selected harvest to guarantee perfect ripeness, the grapes undergo pneumatic pressing followed by cold settling. Fermentation is rigorously controlled to fully capture the freshness and fruity aromas. Aging in stainless steel tanks preserves the wine's vibrancy and balance.

Our opinion on the vintage

From the first glance, the bright, pale gold color catches the eye. On the nose, this wine surprises with its understated elegance, slowly opening to aromas of citrus and passion fruit. On the palate, it bursts with freshness, where the vivacity is underscored by a fine, vibrant acidity. The texture is reminiscent of lemon pulp, leaving a thirst-quenching impression. The finish is distinguished by citrus notes marked by a beautiful acidity, subtle bitterness, and a touch of astringency, creating an intense and unique sensory experience. This wine is an excellent companion to accompany an aperitif, grilled fish, or seafood.

Château du Pouey

Château du Pouey

Sud-Ouest | France

Located in the Southwest, Château du Pouey is a family estate situated on south and southeast-facing slopes overlooking the Pyrenees mountain range. The vineyard now covers approximately 22 hectares, having started on a much smaller area.

The estate played a pioneering role in introducing grape varieties such as Petit Manseng and Gros Manseng to the region. The vines are cultivated using sustainable viticulture practices, with particular attention paid to preserving natural balances and ensuring consistent ripening. The soils, composed of clay and gravel, offer ideal conditions for a variety of expressions, depending on the plot and its exposure.

The wines are crafted with a focus on lusciousness and controlled richness, without striving for standardization. Vinification and aging are carried out to preserve the expression of the fruit and the typicity of the grape varieties, offering profiles ranging from supple and fruity wines to more structured cuvées.
