Pot de vin Rosé

Malepère | Pink | NM

The estate is a true gem nestled on the clay-limestone slopes of the Malepère massif. Cultivated organically since 2013, the vines benefit from a high-altitude terroir influenced by both Atlantic and Mediterranean climates, resulting in wines that are both supple and aromatic. Low-temperature vinification ensures optimal preservation of aromas, reflecting the passion and respect for each grape variety, particularly Syrah, which is the dominant grape in this blend.

Our opinion on the vintage

This wine captivates with its very pale pink hue, immediately catching the eye. The delicate nose is an invitation to the fresh pleasures of red fruits and light, almost ethereal spices. On the palate, its lightness stands out thanks to a subtly integrated acidity and a crystalline texture, reminiscent of the sharp precision of a steel blade. The finish elegantly prolongs this impression, with a rare purity that could convince even the most skeptical to embrace rosé. Perfect as an aperitif or to enhance a summer meal, this wine is a revelation on par with the finest Provençal wines.

Château Guilhem

Languedoc | France

Located in Malviès, between Limoux and Carcassonne, Château Guilhem has been a family estate since 1878, now run by the fifth generation. The estate covers approximately 35 hectares of vines, cultivated organically, grouped around the property and backing onto the Malepère massif, in western Languedoc.

This area stands out from the rest of the region due to its cooler climate, influenced by its proximity to the Pyrenees. This distinctive characteristic is reflected in the estate's grape varieties, deliberately chosen for their Atlantic influence: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Malbec. This selection gives the wines a unique profile within the Languedoc landscape, often referred to as "the other Languedoc," where freshness and structure take precedence over intense sunlight.

Soils play a central role in the balance of wines. The Malepère massif takes its name from a friable rock, unsuitable for construction but particularly well-suited to vines. These soils retain water ... Lire plus
