Domaine des Gravennes

Lou Pitchoun 2025

Côtes du Rhône | Rouge | 2025

Domaine des Gravennes, located in the heart of Drôme Provençale, offers organic wines that showcase the region’s stony and sandy terroir. The whites, a blend of White Grenache, Marsanne, Roussanne, and Viognier, combine finesse and freshness, while the reds, made from Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre, are refined, round, and well-structured. Luc and Rémi, fourth-generation winemakers, carry on a family tradition centered on respect for the terroir, conviviality, and elegance, with wines such as Lou Pitchoun, which is fresh and surprising.

Our Review of the Cuvée

This bright ruby-red wine offers an intense bouquet of red fruit aromas, evoking a sense of warmth and simplicity. On the palate, it reveals a pleasant freshness, with notes of red fruit and a subtle hint of spice. The fine, supple tannins provide a velvety texture, perfect for pairing with white meats, mixed salads, or ratatouille. A delightful wine to share with friends, ideal for any occasion.

Des Gravennes Estate

Domaine des Gravennes

Loire | France

In the heart of the Drôme Provençale, beneath the watchful eye of the Château de Suze-la-Rousse, the Domaine des Gravennes is a story of brotherhood and a return to one’s roots. Luc, who has returned from winemaking experiences around the world, and Rémi, a former Parisian engineer turned winemaker, have taken over the family estate together. Now in their fourth generation at the helm, they share simple values: protecting the terroir, a spirit of camaraderie, and a constant quest for balance.

Across 30 hectares of organic vineyards, Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre thrive on alluvial, sandy, and stony soils—a terroir known as “Gravennes,” derived from the Gallic term for “stony place.” An interesting fact: Benjamin, the youngest of the family, is the only one to have a wine named after him. These are timeless wines, executed to perfection.
