Our opinion on the vintage

Fresh red berries with spices and slightly smoky notes. Soft and supple on the palate. Freshness returns with a small floral bouquet on the finish. This natural wine may still have some natural effervescence; it should therefore be opened in advance and ideally decanted. Energetic swirling may be necessary, but after that, it’s nothing but pure deliciousness!

Domaine Ganevat , located in Rotalier in the Jura region, embodies one of the most unique and accomplished expressions of the Jura vineyards. Run by Jean-François Ganevat, the estate is based on meticulous work on family plots , often planted with old vines , cultivated according to demanding organic principles and close to biodynamics.

Here, each vine is cultivated as an individual entity. The soils, primarily composed of marl, limestone scree, and clay, are tilled and maintained to preserve their life and natural balance. Yields are intentionally low, in order to concentrate the expression of the grape and the terroir, without artifice.

In the cellar, the philosophy is the same: minimal intervention, maximum precision . Fermentation occurs naturally, and aging is long, often in old barrels or neutral containers, so as never to mask the ... Lire plus
