Poulsard En Bois d'Arnaux comes from young vines on the eponymous plot, cultivated using organic and biodynamic methods. Harvested by hand and destemmed, the grapes macerate for about fifteen days in stainless steel tanks, before aging for approximately ten months in the same tanks. The wine is neither fined nor filtered, and bottling is done without added sulfites.

Our opinion on the vintage

This Poulsard from the En Bois d'Arnaux plot captivates with its intense aromatic expression. On the palate, it unfolds a medley of tangy red berries, carried by a refreshing lightness. A wine so easy to drink that you hardly notice the bottle emptying.

The vines had already been cultivated organically by his father, Jean-Luc, since 1999 and have since evolved towards more pronounced biodynamic practices under Valentin.

The estate covers approximately 6 to 7.5 hectares of vines planted on marl and limestone soils around Poligny, in the Côtes du Jura AOC. The grape varieties cultivated are typical of the Jura region: Savagnin, Chardonnay, Poulsard, Trousseau, and Pinot Noir; Valentin is also experimenting with hybrid varieties to adapt to climate change. Viticulture emphasizes soil health, ... Lire plus
