Petit Chablis

Chablis white wines are the "French people's favorite great white wines," according to… the Burgundy winemakers of Chablis! It's undeniable that Chablis AOC wines are frequent recipients of medals and other accolades in wine guides (such as the Hachette Wine Guide and the Revue du Vin de France). Chablis wines are made from Chardonnay grapes, which give them a beautiful, clear, yellow color with green-gold highlights and aromas of white flowers. On the nose, there's also a very fresh, mineral, and grapefruit note. Finally, on the palate, Chablis is dry and offers a refreshing acidity. It is easily identifiable, with great finesse. This white Burgundy wine is generally paired with platters of oysters, poultry, goat cheese, or even lobster. Their freshness and the generous, mineral character of Chablis wines have charmed the entire wine world. The soils Limestone and flint soils are ideal for Chardonnay, providing excellent irrigation. The 3,150 hectares of Burgundy vineyards produce 170,000 liters of wine annually, exclusively white. The grapes are so carefully tended that to protect them from spring frosts, each winemaker employs a variety of techniques to keep them warm, including using heaters.
