Domaine De La Mongestine

Bob Blanc 2025

Vin de France | Blanc | 2025

This 115-hectare estate, fully certified for organic viticulture since 2014, was acquired by Céline and Harry in 2017, producing wines vinified without inputs, respecting the terroir. The renovation of the cellar and buildings allows the full potential of this vineyard, where silence reigns in harmony with nature, to be expressed. The varied soils offer a diverse range of grape varieties, enhancing the complexity of the IGP and AOP Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence cuvées. Natural vinification methods and diverse aging processes yield balanced and vibrant wines, such as the citrusy Vermentino and the spicy Roussanne.

Our Review of the Cuvée

This wine presents a fresh and fruity nose, with citrus notes and a subtle floral hint. On the palate, it exhibits a pleasant liveliness, a fine acidity, and a saline finish. Its texture is light and agreeable, making it ideal for pairing with grilled sardines. This wine evokes the freshness of summer and the conviviality of an aperitif among friends.

Domaine De La Mongestine

Provence | France

Located in Jouques, north of the Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence appellation, Domaine de la Mongestine is managed using organic and biodynamic farming practices. The vineyard is situated on a high-altitude plateau, in an environment that is cool for Provence, characterized by significant diurnal temperature variations.

The soils, predominantly clay-limestone, combined with the altitude and the influence of winds, promote gradual maturation and naturally taut balances. The estate cultivates a range of Mediterranean grape varieties, well-suited to this cooler context, with particular attention paid to preserving freshness and clarity of expression.

Vinifications are conducted with restraint, favoring gentle extractions and subtle aging processes, so as not to mask the grapes' inherent identity. The wines are characterized by straightforward and balanced profiles, distinct from the sun-drenched expressions often associated with the region, featuring a precise structure and excellent persistence. ...
