Our Review of the Cuvée

On the nose, this Carignan Noir offers a bouquet of ripe black fruits, combined with subtly revealed spicy notes. On the palate, it surprises with its silky texture and elegant structure. The presence of black schist is evident in its minerality, which balances the fruity notes and provides a lovely, lingering finish. An engaging wine, both powerful and refined, that pays homage to the pioneering winemakers of Roussillon while retaining a most pleasant simplicity.

The Parcé brothers have crafted a unique vision of Banyuls and Collioure, where Grenache reigns supreme on steep terraces. The dry reds are distinguished by a firm structure, dense yet never heavy fruit, and a hint of brininess derived from the proximity to the sea. In the naturally sweet wines, precise control over aging times yields full-bodied textures without heaviness. Viticulture, carried out on demanding slopes, yields a distinct depth and a surprising verticality for the region. Each cuvée reflects a precise interpretation of a mineral and luminous landscape.
