Goutte blanche 2022

Vin de France | White | 2022

This Chardonnay, from Domaine des Moriers in Lancié, is made using natural winemaking methods and is unfiltered. It reveals a crystalline color and a savory, mineral profile. On the palate, the balance between lemony acidity and ample texture allows for a long, lingering freshness. An elegant, fresh, and easy-drinking white wine.

Our opinion on the vintage

The pale, almost crystalline robe is striking. The nose evokes freshly squeezed lemon, light lemon butter, and sweet spices. On the palate, the attack is direct, the texture finely concentrated and ethereal. The acidity creates a taut thread that structures the whole, while a delicate salinity brings length and tension. The finish remains clean and mineral, with a subtle hint of citrus bitterness. A dry, refreshing, and easy-drinking wine, perfect with shellfish, crustaceans, or delicate fish.

Languedoc | France

A trained oenologist and a true free spirit in Languedoc, Jeff Carrel is one of those winemakers who have profoundly revitalized the image of wines from the South of France. For over twenty-five years, he has been exploring Languedoc terroirs with a simple yet demanding idea: to reveal the best of each grape variety, each plot, without ever masking the wine's identity.

Based in Roussillon, Jeff Carrel works hand in hand with a collective of partner winemakers called Les Amis de Jeff Carrel. Together, they select grapes from carefully chosen terroirs, cultivated with respect for the environment, to produce cuvées that are precise, delicious, and consistently excellent.

His style is distinguished by very expressive wines, driven by fruit, freshness, and balance, far from the heavy reds often associated with the South. Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, and Chardonnay are crafted with finesse to create ... Lire plus
