This wine comes from 25-year-old vines planted on talc-rich schist and white clay, guaranteeing a subtle mineral expression. Hand-harvesting and gentle pressing preserve the authenticity of the Chenin Blanc grape. Vinified in barrels and amphorae, it undergoes 12 months of aging, without filtration or added sulfites, for exceptional purity. Perfect to accompany Loire River fish, white meats, and cheeses.

Our opinion on the vintage

On the nose, this Chenin Blanc reveals pure aromas of white-fleshed fruit, supported by delicate floral notes. On the palate, the texture is silky, enhanced by a vibrant minerality stemming from its unique terroir. The absence of filtration and added sulfites results in a sensation of great purity and balance. On tasting, it evolves with elegance, revealing subtle nuances of oak from aging in barrels and amphorae. An ideal partner for refined dishes.

Domaine Les Grandes Vignes

Languedoc | France

In Anjou, the Vaillant family has been running Domaine Les Grandes Vignes biodynamically for many years. The vineyard is mainly planted with Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc, emblematic grape varieties of the region, cultivated with constant attention to soil balance and vine vitality.

The plots surrounding Thouarcé present varied profiles, which the estate interprets through precise winemaking, sometimes without the addition of sulfur. The white wines develop a natural character and measured tension, where the fruit retains a restrained and legible expression. The reds favor supple structures and a fluid texture, resulting from controlled extraction.

The winemaking process is carried out with restraint, aiming to preserve the direct expression of the terroir and the clarity of the wines' profiles. The estate's work as a whole is distinguished by great consistency, producing wines faithful to their origin and consistent in their expression across vintages.
