Domaine du Pavillon
Located on the slopes of the Crozes-Hermitage appellation, Domaine du Pavillon covers approximately 14 hectares of vines, cultivated on well-exposed slopes of the left bank of the Rhône. This area benefits from a distinct northern Rhône climate, favorable to gradual ripening and the preservation of freshness, particularly for Syrah.
Before being dedicated to vineyards, the site was home to a family farm surrounded by orchards. In the 1960s, the fruit trees gradually gave way to vineyards, while the farm buildings were converted into a barrel cellar. The estate takes its name from the former hunting lodge overlooking the hillsides, which has become an iconic landmark.
The vineyard is now cultivated by the Audibert family, with particular attention paid to the old Syrah vines, the estate's central grape variety. The soils and topography allow for the production of grapes that are both ripe and structured, without excessive heaviness. The estate ... Lire plus
