Poycelan 2023

Côtes du Forez | Red | 2023

Made from a massal selection of old Gamay vines, this wine is distinguished by its concentration and depth, the result of Royat cordon pruning. Unlike its counterpart Volcanique, Poycelan offers a fleshy texture and dense structure, stemming from a terroir rigorously cultivated since the 1980s. This wine reveals a harmony between luscious fruit and remarkable aromatic freshness, offering a complex and refined experience with every tasting.

Our opinion on the vintage

The nose reveals exquisite finesse with aromas of violet and blackberry followed by discreet amyl notes. On the palate, Poycelan is welcoming and velvety, offering a fleshy texture that intensifies and surprises with its density. The sensation is amplified by a vibrant freshness and a delicious blend of dark fruits, supported by menthol touches and cocoa nuances. This finesse recalls the silky texture of delicious mint chocolates, for a finish full of character and subtlety.

Verdier-Logel

Languedoc | France

High in the hills of the Côtes du Forez, Verdier-Logel focuses on Gamay grown on basalt. This results in crisp, slightly peppery reds that are incredibly drinkable. Some aging techniques lengthen the wines without adding weight. A frank, direct, and very pure style.
