Petite Selve 2024

Vin de France | Rouge | 2024

This wine reflects the meticulous care taken in its production. The grapes are carefully selected and destemmed before undergoing natural fermentation using indigenous yeasts. Each day, the wine is gently stirred to extract its full richness, followed by a 20-day vatting period that intensifies its aromas. Aging continues for five months in concrete tanks on fine lees, imparting a subtle and refined character, without fining, to preserve its authenticity.

Our Review of the Cuvée

From the very first glance, this wine captivates with its garnet-red, slightly translucent color. On the nose, it reveals a refined aromatic palette with notes of candied red berries, violet, and a hint of orange peel. On the palate, it surprises with its roundness and fullness, offering a velvety texture that fully expresses the richness of the fruit, enhanced by subtle spices. The finish is rich and lingering, marked by hints of bitter orange, cherry compote, and a subtle note of cocoa, promising a complete and harmonious sensory experience.

La Selve cultivates a luminous style, where Grenache and Syrah achieve a precise balance between ripeness and freshness. Diverse aging methods (tank, wood, amphora) contribute complexity while preserving the fruit's integrity. The wines maintain natural suppleness and a clean aromatic profile.
