Our opinion on the vintage
Mas d'Espanet
Mas d'Espanet is a family-run vineyard located between Uzès and Sommières, in the heart of the Lens massif in Languedoc. It was revived in the 1980s after having been abandoned for many years. Denys and Agnès Armand cultivate a variety of white and red grape varieties on approximately 20 hectares of vines, in a garrigue environment ideal for viticulture.
The estate is managed using biodynamic farming methods, with the aim of allowing the terroir to fully express itself, while also incorporating traditional agricultural practices such as sheep farming and complementary crops. The grapes are harvested by hand, and the winemaking process varies depending on the vintage, combining tradition and precision.
The wines of Mas d'Espanet offer a beautiful aromatic freshness, a finesse of expression and a strong typicity, reflecting the climatic and geological influences of the Languedoc massif.
