This wine is made from old Menu Pineau vines, grown in soil that blends clay, flint, and gravel. Controlled yields of 40 hl/ha ensure optimal flavor concentration. After careful vinification, it is aged for 12 months in demi-muids and Burgundian barrels, giving the wine a beautiful structure and subtle aromatic complexity that connoisseurs will appreciate.

Our opinion on the vintage

This wine reveals a delicate nose where mineral nuances, inherited from the flint and gravel soils, mingle with refined floral notes. On the palate, the texture is both silky and precise, offering beautiful harmony. Aging in demi-muids and Burgundy barrels adds further complexity, with an elegant and persistent finish. An authentic wine that reveals the full potential of Menu Pineau, perfect for pairing with refined dishes or simply for enjoying on its own!

At Puzelat, the aim isn't to correct the wine, but to guide it. Producing Gamay or Menu Pineau in Touraine thus becomes an exercise in controlled freedom. The wines often display a very open, almost juicy fruit character, but underpinned by a thread of acidity that keeps them balanced. They are unique and unlike anything else. This has been the house's signature for decades.
