Pétillant Galipette 2021

Bordeaux | Blanc | 2021

Christophe Pueyo’s wine project in Nérigean, Gironde, is a true ode to authenticity. Nestled on an exceptional terroir of limestone and calcareous clay, the vineyard thrives in a unique microclimate. Composed of 50% Muscadelle, 40% Sémillon, and 10% Sauvignon, this white wine is the result of meticulous winemaking: hand-harvested grapes, pneumatic pressing, and natural fermentation with indigenous yeasts. All without filtration or added sulfur, ensuring a pure product that remains true to its terroir.

Our Review of the Cuvée

From the very first glance, this wine captivates with its sparkling, almost golden hue. Its nose offers refined aromatic complexity, with elegant floral and fruity notes intertwining. On the palate, it’s an explosion of flavors: a perfect balance between freshness and roundness, with great finesse thanks to its slow fermentation and well-considered aging. There’s a slight effervescence—subtle yet present—that brings every sip to life. A delicate, lingering finish rounds out this sensory experience. A wine that is sure to appeal to lovers of authentic, lively white wines.

This approach aims to allow the purity of the fruit, the identity of the Saint-Émilion terroir, and the aromatic freshness of the wines to shine through.

The wines produced at the estate range from red Bordeaux to Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, as well as more distinctive regional wines, often characterized by a
