This emblematic cuvée showcases old Merlot vines, some over 70 years old, blended with Cabernet Franc and Carménère, a historic Bordeaux grape variety. The nose is expressive, characterized by aromas of ripe black fruits and subtle spicy notes. On the palate, the wine is rich and generous, with a velvety texture and beautiful fruit intensity. The overall impression is harmonious, leading to a long, indulgent finish with fruity, subtly woody, and vanilla notes. Our Review of the Cuvée

A parcel selection from old vines rooted in the clay-limestone soils of Puisseguin, this cuvée embodies a denser and deeper expression of the Bordeaux terroir. Predominantly Merlot, it fully develops its richness, supported by Cabernet Franc. The wine exhibits an intense color, a nose marked by black fruits, licorice, and integrated woody notes. On the palate, the texture is generous, with a beautiful structure and a persistent finish. Tank-aged and organically certified, this wine is suitable for robust dishes as well as for cellaring.

Château Clarisse

Bordeaux | France

Nestled in the heart of the clay-limestone plateau of Puisseguin-Saint-Émilion, near Saint-Émilion, Château Clarisse embodies a modern and demanding approach to Bordeaux wine. Established by Olivia and Didier Le Calvez, the estate spans 24 hectares across the Puisseguin-Saint-Émilion and Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux appellations, offering an exceptional terroir where each parcel reveals its unique character.

The deep soils, enriched with fossilized limestone, act as a natural water reservoir, allowing the vines to ripen in perfect balance. The plateau, situated at an altitude of over 100 meters, ensures optimal drainage, ideal sun exposure, and a natural freshness that imparts tension and elegance to the grapes.

The vineyard is primarily planted with Merlot and Cabernet Franc, complemented by Petit Verdot and Carménère, allowing for complex and refined blends. Viticulture is conducted with respect for the environment and for ... Read more
