Our Review of the Cuvée

Upon opening, this tawny port reveals a complex and harmonious nose, blending aromas of dried fruit, nuts, and a subtle hint of vanilla from its aging in oak barrels. On the palate, it offers a smooth, silky texture with a light, dry attack, typical of La Rosa’s house style. The finish is elegant and lingering, revealing subtle notes of caramel and spices. Served slightly chilled, it makes an ideal aperitif or a perfect way to end a meal. Its complexity and lightness make it a port of choice to discover and savor.

Quinta De La Rosa

Douro | Portugal

Quinta de La Rosa is a family-owned winery located in the Cima Corgo subregion, in the heart of Portugal’s Douro wine region, renowned for its Port wines and dry wines made from traditional Douro Valley grape varieties, grown on steep terraced schist soils.

The estate comprises approximately 55 hectares of vineyards on the banks of the Douro River around Pinhão, where the climate and varied soils allow for the production of high-quality reds, whites, and fortified wines, characterized by a lovely freshness and distinctive minerality.

In addition to wine production, Quinta de La Rosa is also a wine tourism destination featuring a restaurant and lodging, offering visitors the opportunity to discover its wines, terroir, and century-old history along the river.
