This wine, made from black Gamay with white juice, is the result of environmentally friendly viticulture, as evidenced by its organic certification. The 50-year-old vines, grown on pink granite soil, give this wine a unique character. Whole-cluster carbonic maceration and fermentation with native yeasts add a distinct aromatic dimension, while aging on fine lees in concrete tanks for 8 months refines its texture.

Our Review of the Cuvée

From the moment it is opened, this wine stands out for its deep garnet color and captivating nose, which blends deep aromas of ripe black fruit and vine peach. On the palate, it reveals remarkable finesse and tension, with a slender structure. The body is dense and full-bodied, supported by elegant fruit and delicate spicy notes. The finish is long and harmonious, amplifying the peach and stone fruit aromas, offering a fascinating tasting experience from start to finish.

Beaujolais | France

Thibault Ducroux is a winemaker based in Villié-Morgon in the Beaujolais region, where he works with vineyards in the process of transitioning to organic farming to produce “natural” wines that reflect the pure expression of Gamay on granite soils. His approach draws inspiration from local traditions while allowing each vintage to express its own unique character.

Thibault Ducroux’s wines are produced using minimalist winemaking techniques, often involving carbonic maceration and native yeasts, in order to preserve the fruit’s freshness and the terroir’s natural vitality. Aging takes place primarily in tanks to maintain a direct and lively expression.

His wines, often made from old vines, are characterized by a liveliness and aromatic intensity that make them ideal for drinking young or for enjoying as they age, for those who appreciate the authentic, unpretentious wines of Beaujolais.
