Les Mamettes 2024

Côtes Catalanes | Blanc | 2024

This wine is a blend of Carignan Blanc and Grenache Gris, grown in the Pyrénées-Orientales on schist and granite soils. The very old vines, trained in the Gobelet style, lend the wine a beautiful authenticity. The winemaking process involves direct pressing followed by fermentation in previously used barrels, which gives the wine a subtle complexity. Extended aging on the lees in concrete tanks ensures a round texture and a lovely freshness on the palate.

Our Review of the Cuvée

From the very first glance, you’ll be captivated by its bright, pale gold color. The nose reveals a lively and fresh aromatic palette, dominated by citrus notes such as lemon and pomelo, accented by a hint of sage and sea spray. On the palate, it’s an explosion of crisp freshness, balanced by a delicate acidity. The citrus flavors blend harmoniously with smoky and slightly buttery notes. The finish is surprisingly lively, with well-integrated acidity and noble bitterness, leaving a lingering hint of sage, citrus, and delicate buttery and smoky notes. This wine promises a dynamic and elegant tasting experience.
