DSM vin d'altitude 2018

Côtes du Roussillon villages | Rouge | 2018

This wine from Domaine Sous la Montagne, crafted by Sébastien Calduch, is a fine example of the diversity of the Roussillon region. Made from Carignan, Syrah, Grenache, and Lledoner Pelut, each vineyard block (La Garrigue, Les Dolmens, Le Camps de l’Argent) is vinified separately using precise methods to preserve the unique characteristics of each terroir, before aging in concrete tanks. This meticulous approach results in a wine with an elegant structure and distinct aromas.

Our Review of the Cuvée

This cuvée immediately reveals itself through its deep, translucent ruby color. From the very first whiff, you are greeted by delicate aromas of raspberry, blackcurrant, and white pepper, enriched by hints of violet and incense. On the palate, it offers an enveloping, almost silky roundness that unfolds with a fine, delicate texture. This elegance is supported by remarkable aromatic freshness, where pure fruit blends with subtle spicy notes. The finish lingers with notes of ripe fruit and slightly spicy, toasted flavors, offering an elegant persistence.
