Jean-Marc Grussaute surprises us with his "Les Grains des Copains" cuvée, the result of meticulous direct pressing of overripe grapes, followed by fermentation and aging on the lees in barrels and large casks. Composed of 80% Petit Manseng and 20% Gros Manseng, this wine offers a beautiful balance between sugar and acidity, grown on clay-siliceous and puddingstone soils. The grapes are harvested by hand, and viticultural practices combine sustainable and organic methods.

Our Review of the Cuvée

Upon opening, this wine releases enticing aromas of ripe and exotic fruits such as mandarin, grilled pineapple, and mango. On the palate, its smooth, velvety texture reveals a perfect balance between sweetness and acidity, enhancing its vibrant fruity notes. The long, fruity finish leaves a lasting impression of freshness. This wine is ideal for pairing with gourmet dishes such as foie gras, sheep’s milk cheese, or roasted poultry, and offers a surprising harmony with Middle Eastern cuisine.

The estate's dry white wines combine vibrant tension with ripe fruit, characteristic of the La Chapelle-de-Rousse hillsides. The sweet wines exhibit a delicate liqueur, supported by an energetic acidity. Precise aging further refines the texture. This is an essential estate in modern Jurançon.
