This bold blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache hails from the unique terroir of Cabardès, where Atlantic and Mediterranean influences converge. The vineyard, planted on clay-limestone slopes, benefits from a climate tempered by its altitude of approximately 300 meters. The meticulous crafting of this precise and elegant wine highlights the natural richness of the grape varieties, offering a tasting experience free of the artificial oak notes that some vintages might exhibit.

Our Review of the Cuvée

From the very first sip, this dark garnet-colored wine intrigues with a subtle yet rich nose, revealing a palette of ripe fruit and spices, with subtle notes of leather and dried orange peel. After aeration, aromas of blackcurrant and violet blossom. On the palate, the experience is smooth and silky, beautifully balancing fruity, floral, and mineral flavors. The finish, flowing smoothly, highlights woody nuances with hints of toast and mocha, leaving a lingering taste of rich blackcurrant on the palate. To fully appreciate its qualities, it is recommended to serve it at 17°C and open it one hour before tasting. It pairs perfectly with traditional dishes, red meats, and game.

Domaine de Cabrol

Languedoc | France

Cabardès draws on the interplay between Atlantic and Mediterranean influences, and the Cabrol estate has been exploring this fusion for decades. Cabernet, Syrah, and Grenache grow side by side here, producing bright, lively wines with delicate tannins. The winemaking process prioritizes fine-grained texture, avoiding heavy extraction, and allows the limestone terroir to shine through clearly. The result is an ethereal, almost graphic balance, enhanced by subtle aging. Cabrol has long demonstrated that this still relatively unknown appellation possesses a true uniqueness.
