Our Review of the Cuvée

Upon opening, the golden hue catches the eye with its radiant brilliance. The nose may seem discreet initially, but with adequate aeration, it reveals seductive aromas of pineapple and roasted apple. On the palate, the freshness is immediate, driven by a subtle acidity and a crystalline texture that refreshes. Ripe and exotic flavors blend harmoniously, while the finish extends this harmony with added elegance. Nuances of bitter orange peel integrate with pineapple and passion fruit, offering a floral and refined sensation.

Le Vent des Jours

Jura | France

Domaine Le Vent des Jours is a vineyard established in 2018 by Laurent Marre and François Sudreau, located on the high plateaus of the Cahors appellation, specifically in Villesèque, Lot. Situated on Jurassic limestone hillsides, they practice biodynamic viticulture, employing manual harvesting and abstaining from herbicides and insecticides. Furthermore, they utilize draft animals for vineyard work to mitigate the environmental impact of mechanical equipment.

The estate's philosophy centers on fostering a harmonious ecosystem among the soil, vines, and surrounding biodiversity, notably achieved through the integration of lavender, olive trees, and beehives within the vineyard plots.

The wines produced encapsulate the freshness, finesse, and minerality characteristic of the Cahors terroirs. Their portfolio includes structured red Cahors wines crafted from Malbec and Merlot, alongside white wines and Vins de France that distinctly express the local terroir's identity.
