Our Review of the Cuvée

The wine displays a bright, light ruby color, inviting the eye with its elegant simplicity. The nose is fresh: juicy red fruits, hints of raspberry and cherry, punctuated by a subtle floral note. On the palate, the attack is supple and lively, carried by a delicate texture where fine tannins integrate naturally. The tangy acidity structures the wine and extends a clean, light, and persistent finish, marked by the purity of the fruit. A 2023 Chorey-les-Beaune of understated grace—fruity, lively, and harmonious—that celebrates the freshness of the vintage.

Domaine Cauvard is a family-owned winery located in Beaune, Burgundy. It cultivates approximately eighteen hectares of vineyards spread across several communes in the Côte de Beaune, including appellations such as Beaune, Pommard, Volnay, Aloxe-Corton, Corton-Charlemagne, and Hautes-Côtes de Beaune.

Production follows a traditional approach, with a focus on vineyard management and plot-by-plot winemaking to preserve the identity of each terroir. Harvesting may be done by hand or by machine, depending on the vintage.

I do not have any information regarding the year the estate was established or whether it holds any official organic or environmental certifications.
