Our Review of the Cuvée

An elegant nose of white fruit and subtle toasted notes. Full-bodied and well-balanced on the palate, with lovely freshness. A long, refined finish.

Domaine Jessiaume is a historic vineyard located in Santenay (21590), in the Côte de Beaune. It was established in 1850 by the Jessiaume family and spans approximately 15 hectares across Santenay, Beaune, Pommard, Volnay, Auxey-Duresses, and Chassey-le-Camp. The largest parcel is Santenay 1er Cru Les Gravières. The estate was acquired in 2007 by Sir David Murray and then taken over in 2020 by Dr Jean-François Le Bigot with the technical team led by William Waterkeyn. Viticulture is organic, featuring manual harvests and winemaking practices that respect the terroir.

Red wines are made from Pinot Noir and white wines from Chardonnay, with a few Aligoté parcels. Appellations include Santenay, Santenay 1er Cru Les Gravières, Auxey-Duresses, Beaune, Pommard, Volnay, and other regional Burgundy appellations. The wines are recognized for their finesse, balance, and aromatic expression of the terroir.
