Domaine de Majas

Majas blanc 2024

Côtes Catalanes | Blanc | 2024

This white wine blends four distinct grape varieties—Macabeu, Rolle, White Carignan, and White Grenache—offering a unique aromatic richness. Grown on vines ranging from 20 to 45 years old on clay-limestone and schist-rich hillside soil, the vineyard has been cultivated using organic farming methods since 2007, ensuring environmentally responsible quality. Natural winemaking uses indigenous yeasts with minimal intervention, and aging in concrete tanks on fine lees without filtration accentuates its silky, complex texture.

Our Review of the Cuvée

Upon opening, this wine releases a delicate bouquet of white flowers, mineral notes, and a subtle hint of citrus. On the palate, the texture is rich and velvety, balanced by a refreshing crispness. Flavors of white-fleshed fruits balance with light saline notes, a result of the unique terroir. It reveals a lovely length, reflecting its maturity and the finesse of its grape varieties. Ideal with seafood or a fish dish, it is also best enjoyed on its own, allowing you to savor its full complexity. Serve between 10 and 12°C.
