Diary #2: In the North, it seems you cry twice: when you arrive and when you leave. Before I moved to the Bordeaux region, I lived in Lille. As the son of a farmer, I discovered the profession of winegrower thanks to my wife, Maria, who had the vine in her blood! Engaged in this adventure, this work quickly became a passion. I am constantly trying to find the right balance between the nature of the soil, the grape variety and the work to produce the best grapes: essential to the success of a good wine. It's a chance to be the actor!

In the heart of the Entre-deux-Mers vineyard

Following successive plot buy-outs, the estate now has 70 ha, which puts us in the middle of the Bordeaux region. We are located in the commune of Haux, in the heart of the Entre-deux-Mers vineyard but in the Cadillac and Côtes de Bordeaux appellation. It is a vineyard less (re)known than the great Médoc or Graves, but it has a fantastic terroir, predominantly clay-limestone and rich in sediment.marine diments, which gives our Côtes-de-Bordeaux a freshness and a greediness of first quality!

We're convinced we're surrounded by gold

With Maria, we really took over the property at the beginning of the 2000s. I am from the Lille region and we met during our studies of agronomy and agriculture. I was immediately seduced by the property of course, but also by the work in the vineyard, so rewarding (even if sometimes a little rough). We are convinced that we are surrounded by gold and it is our duty to maintain it in a responsible manner, so that we can leave a healthy, healthy and richly biodiverse vineyard to our children. Together with the Bayer laboratory, we are therefore carrying out a sustainable agriculture project on the estate. Its aim is to preserve, maintain and develop the ecosystem that surrounds us. Concretely, we have installed on the property insect hotels and reintroduced certain species. It's such a pleasure and beauty to see them foraging in the sunny days!...
