Chapuis & Chapuis

Burgundy Côte d'Or

Bourgogne | Red | 2023

This wine, made from Pinot Noir grapes, benefits from expertly crafted, artisanal winemaking. Hand-harvested from clay-limestone soils, it beautifully expresses the terroir thanks to the use of indigenous yeasts and fermentation in stainless steel tanks. After six months of aging in oak barrels previously used for several wines, the result is a wine that retains its authenticity and purity, without filtration or unnecessary additives.

Our opinion on the vintage

On the nose, this Pinot Noir surprises with its freshness and delicate red fruit aromas. On the palate, the attack is silky, with a texture that is both fine and complex, revealing subtle notes imparted by aging in oak barrels. The well-balanced acidity provides a beautiful structure that supports light and harmonious tannins. The finish is clean and elegant, leaving a lingering impression of finesse. A wine that embodies the very essence of its terroir with sincerity and precision.

Chapuis & Chapuis

Chapuis & Chapuis

Bourgogne | France

In Pommard, the Chapuis & Chapuis estate, run by two brothers, produces wines from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes sourced from local vineyards, both from their own vines and from a carefully selected network of négociants. This dual approach allows them to work with different origins while maintaining a constant focus on the quality of the raw materials.

The winemaking process relies on spontaneous fermentations and gentle extractions, with the aim of preserving the finesse of the textures and the clarity of the fruit. The red wines are distinguished by a fine texture, a clear expression of Pinot Noir, and a marked verticality, reminiscent of classic Burgundian interpretations, without striving for power.

The white wines maintain a clear tension, supported by perfectly ripe grapes and judicious aging. The estate's work as a whole prioritizes sincerity and precision, offering balanced wines built on finesse and coherence rather than stylistic
