Marsannay Arnaud Combier 2022

Marsannay | Red | 2022

The winemaking process for this wine is based on an authentic and respectful approach to the grapes. The Pinot Noir, grown in Burgundy on clay-limestone soils, benefits from organic farming practices. The grapes are destemmed upon arrival at the winery, and fermentation is spontaneous, supported by indigenous yeasts. Thanks to meticulous punch-downs and pump-overs, aging in Burgundy barrels imparts a delicate structure to the wines.

Our opinion on the vintage

This wine boasts a brilliant ruby color and a nose that seduces with its fresh aromas of red fruit. On the palate, it offers a silky texture, revealing subtle and refined peppery nuances. The tannins are well-integrated, providing an elegant length on the finish. Each sip reveals a new facet of this complex and harmonious Pinot Noir. A wine to be savored slowly, revealing all its delicacy with each sip. A pleasure to discover for lovers of fine wines.

Jeff Carrel's work in the Languedoc region focuses on vineyards that are sometimes neglected or challenging, revitalized through a pragmatic approach to winemaking. Carignan, Grenache, and Syrah are cultivated according to the specific plots, resulting in wines that are sometimes juicy, sometimes more structured.

The winemaking process remains intentionally simple, in order to preserve the rhythm and character of the wines. Some cuvées prioritize immediate enjoyment, while others emphasize a more assertive structure. The entire range is distinguished by a direct, accessible style, clearly expressing the Languedoc landscape.
