Villa des Anges Viognier 2024

Vin de France | White | 2024

The Villa des Anges Viognier 2024 is a white wine made from the Viognier grape, typical of the Languedoc region. This wine has an aromatic profile centered on notes of white-fleshed fruit, with a floral touch. On the palate, it offers a lovely tension and a pleasant balance, supported by a light structure. Its freshness makes it an ideal accompaniment to fish dishes or summer salads. The long finish testifies to careful winemaking, promoting a true expression of the terroir. This Viognier can be enjoyed young, but will also age gracefully. An interesting choice for white wine lovers.

Our opinion on the vintage

The nose is expressive, with aromas of yellow fruits, honeysuckle, and bitter almond. The palate is round, fresh, and luscious, with a ripe and appealing texture, underscored by a subtle effervescence. The finish is invigorating and refreshing, supported by elegant bitter notes (apricot kernel) and lingering with spices and a touch of crushed herbs (sage).

Languedoc | France

A trained oenologist and a true free spirit in Languedoc, Jeff Carrel is one of those winemakers who have profoundly revitalized the image of wines from the South of France. For over twenty-five years, he has been exploring Languedoc terroirs with a simple yet demanding idea: to reveal the best of each grape variety, each plot, without ever masking the wine's identity.

Based in Roussillon, Jeff Carrel works hand in hand with a collective of partner winemakers called Les Amis de Jeff Carrel. Together, they select grapes from carefully chosen terroirs, cultivated with respect for the environment, to produce cuvées that are precise, delicious, and consistently excellent.

His style is distinguished by very expressive wines, driven by fruit, freshness, and balance, far from the heavy reds often associated with the South. Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, and Chardonnay are crafted with finesse to create ... Lire plus
