We are located at the crossroads in Bordeaux and Saint-Emilion. Château de Reignac is located in the Entre-deux-Mers region on the large terroirs of the area: the limestone clay on the right bank and the gravelly clay on the left bank. The combination of these two terroirs offers wines with interesting but above all unique aromatic qualities.
The 135 hectare property is all in one piece, including 80 hectares of vines planted. We offer 4 vintages, 3 red and 1 white, which are distributed in 32 countries.
We blend Cabernets Sauvignon and Franc, Merlot for the reds, except for our 100% Merlot cuvée. For white wines, Sauvignons Blanc and Gris and Sémillon make up our Reignac cuvée.
The Château as we know it today was built by Lord Baude-de-Peyron in the 16th century.
During the 18th and 19th centuries, many transformations were made. A main courtyard is laid out and closed by gates worthy of the greatest castles. Gustave Eiffel is also involved in a project to build a greenhouse that will mark the beginning of a passion for flower breeding at the castle.
In 1990, Stéphanie and Yves Vatelot bought the property and put all the resources to work to make Château Reignac a great Bordeaux wine. They surround themselves with great personalities from the region such as the renowned oenologist Michel Rolland who continues to advise the estate for ever more innovative wines and in the image of the owners.
After passing through the wine cellars, the cellar and the tasting, do not miss the garden of Château de Reignac under any circumstances. You will find a magnificent mix of flowers and fruit trees that will awaken your sense of smell. It will also be the opportunity to return from the large greenhouse built for Gustave Eiffel.
