Anecdotes from the Estate: The story of the estate. Clos Lapeyre is located 15 minutes south of Pau on the Jurançon hillsides. This family farm, traditionally dedicated to mixed farming, has specialized in vines and wine since Jean-Bernard Larrieu (3rd generation) took over in 1985. The estate's pride: The vineyard, situated between 350 and 400 meters in altitude, now covers 18 hectares, half of which are terraced vineyards facing the Pyrenees. It is primarily planted with Manseng grapes: local, late-ripening, and demanding varieties. From vine to wine, the work is meticulously carried out by a small, motivated team passionate about nature, quality craftsmanship, and producing healthy, expressive wines.
