Domaine Chavy Chouet was born from a marriage of wine enthusiasts, Albert Chavy and Odile Ropiteau. Continuing the family tradition, Hubert, their son, succeeded them and eventually passed the estate on to his son Romaric. It is therefore after 6 years of viticultural studies and internships in South Africa, Italy, Greece and Spain that Romaric joined the estate to bring his vision of Burgundian wines.
"I have one objective: to cultivate my vines every day with passion and high standards. I don't tolerate any of them when it comes to my wines: I want the best! I am fortunate to be helped by an incredible family: a team of employees with rare seniority who participate with me in the daily work. Together, we are doing everything we can to one day be among the famous Montet, Dagueneau or Selosse de Bourgogne" "Working on the Burgundy terroir is exceptional. I was able to discover other winemaking methods, particularly foreign ones, but producing a great Burgundy wine is a unique opportunity for me."
