At home, we have to earn it! It takes a lot of patience, learning and recognition to take over the domain. The only way to access it is to prove that you can do even better, while listening to the elders. The family estate now counts its 11th generation. We farm 13 hectares on the most beautiful appellations of the Côte de Beaune. I particularly like my parcel of Volnay. We have chosen a reasoned cultivation. We respect the environment and our soils, so we are among the pioneers in sowing grass in our vineyards to avoid weed killers. We have adapted and even manufactured ourselves the appropriate tools for our cultivation and tillage between the vines. We use our natural fertilizers under our rank.
The estate is a family passion. It's been like this for eleven generations and it's not about to change... I am very much in the news at the moment, I am sensitive to new technologies and I also aspire to anchor the field in its time. Of course, I like the contact with amateurs, whether in competitions or during the many tastings at the estate.
For me being a winegrower is not only a profession but above all a life! We live with the vines, the weather, the bad weather and the sun, in our cellars, in the vats and in the cellar. This passion was passed on to me by my grandfather and father.
Each plot has its own personality. It is necessary to constantly adapt, sometimes even imposing a direction of rotation to go into the rows of vines following the climate and orientation. Working in the vineyard is never monotonous from pruning, tying the chopsticks, then caring for the vines to promote a beautiful maturity of the grapes for the harvest. I like to work on wines with precision and tact. Located between Pommard in the North and Mersault in the South, I like to work my Volnay vines on these light and stony soils which produce such delicate and aromatic wines. Pinot noir is noble and proud, but it reveals its mysteries to those who taste it.
