After spending ten years in Paris and working in consulting, Fabrice Brunel made the choice to return to the family estate in Châteauneuf-du-Pape to succeed his father at Domaine Les Cailloux. Fabrice joined his father in 2012 with the aim of perpetuating the family history and the desire to produce wines characteristic of their terroir, elegant and of great finesse.
Our family has been lucky enough to exploit these lands bought from the bishop of Avignon since the 17th century, but they only took the name "Les Cailloux" in 1954. Then, thanks to André Brunel who took over the estate in 1971, the business grew rapidly. It is only in 2012 that I join my father to perpetuate the family history and its values: "desire to make wines characteristic of our land while remaining elegant and of great finesse. Today we are happy to announce the ten new hectares in appellation Vin de Pays.
The winemaker is above all there to pass on a know-how and not just a label. He is on all levels: farmer, vivifier, commercial but also business manager. But wine must always remain a pleasure, I myself have developed my passion for wine during many tasting evenings with friends to taste, discuss, criticize, analyze ... with moderation of course!
The wine that resembles me the most is the Sommelongue: a wine of friends, nice, fruity, round, powerful but not too much. Good for an aperitif as well as during a meal."
