Chardonnay has a light complexion, illuminated with white gold highlights. White flowers (hawthorn, honeysuckle), dried fruits on lemony and honeyed notes. Fat and well-controlled, the subject is well mastered. It has a lively and frank attack, with the right amount of delicacy.
Between the Dheune and Grosne valleys, the Côte Chalonnaise opens onto the South. These gentle hills were born of the Massif Central, with a stroke of the shoulder, when the Bresse ditch collapsed, forming faults here.
To be enjoyed now and can be kept up to 7 years. Serve at 12 to 13° C.
A wine not to be missed on fish, seafood and grilled or marinated vegetables. Good marriage with soft cheeses with soft legs.
