Remarkable Sauternes 2003, all in bouquet, beautiful colour, dense, with subtle floral connotations, deep and persistent on the palate, very fine, combining power and distinction. (DUSSERT-GERBER 2013 Guide). Rich and honeyed. 17,5/20 - (RVF 2009 Vintage wines purchase guide - September 2009). Clear golden colour with a beautiful clarity. The nose clearly evokes candied fruits: apricot, grape, quince. In the mouth a relatively high concentration is well balanced by freshness. A traditional Sauternes, sweet, with a long shelf life. 91/100 - (Gilbert & Gaillard Guide 2008). Lamothe 2003 is a monster of power to expect. 15.5/20 - (GaultMillau 2007). In the classic cuvée, with a good price-quality ratio, the 2003 is a superb wine, both candied and structured. 16.5/20 - (La Revue du Vin de France 2007). The sweet Wines of Barsac and Sauternes 88/100 - (Robert Parker - Wine Advocate - 24 April 2006). As often at that time, still a little cloudy, but floral on the nose, quite fine, vine peach. Elegant and quite powerful in the mouth. O = 2008 G = 20 years 14.5 /20 - Lost of pears and hints of apples on the nose. Full-bodied, very sweet, with a thick and rich, medium creamy texture. 89-91/100 - (James Suckling - Wine Spectator 2003).
