On the right bank: Château Saint Jean, its bastide, and its Provençal charm… On the left bank, perched on a promontory: Château Rousset, its majestic towers and imposing structure… We are just a few kilometers from the charming little town of Manosque. Here, vineyards mingle with olive groves and truffle oaks… Landscapes dear to Jean Giono! The writer particularly appreciated the region's wines and sometimes took up his pen to express his delight in tasting them.

While white and red wines are produced within the Pierrevert AOP and the Alpes de Haute-Provence IGP, rosé wines remain the flagship of these two appellations and represent a significant portion of their production. The altitude at which the vines grow and the wide temperature variations they are subjected to give these fruity rosés a lovely vibrancy.

You'll enjoy them chilled but not iced, to accompany Sisteron lamb. She personally recommends pairing them with briny flavors, a seafood platter, or a fish terrine.
