Stories from the Estate A Brief History of the Estate The estate’s history began in 1959, when Bernard Olivier founded it with just 1 hectare of vineyards. At that time, mixed farming was the norm, encompassing a variety of crops (vegetables, fruit trees, and livestock). Gradually, vine cultivation began to expand. Patrick Olivier joined his father in 1983 with the goal of ensuring the estate’s long-term future in winemaking. The estate subsequently expanded with the acquisition of several plots and the construction of a new winery in 1992. Joined in 2016 by their two children, Florian and Marina, the Olivier family now cultivates 65 hectares of vineyards. The pride of the estate Domaine Olivier is a 65-hectare family-owned estate producing red wines under the Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil and Bourgueil AOCs.
