Anecdotes from the Estate: The Estate's History. The estate's history began in 1959 when Bernard Olivier established it with just one hectare of vines. At that time, mixed farming was the norm, encompassing all types of crops (market gardening, fruit trees, livestock). Gradually, viticulture developed. Patrick Olivier joined his father in 1983, with the aim of ensuring the long-term viability of wine production. The estate subsequently expanded with the acquisition of several plots and the construction of a new winery in 1992. Joined in 2016 by their two children, Florian and Marina, the Olivier family now cultivates 65 hectares of vines. The Estate's Pride: Domaine Olivier is a 65-hectare family estate producing red wines under the Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil and Bourgueil appellations.
