This wine is made exclusively from the Fer Servadou grape variety, also known as Mansois. The vines, planted on hillsides with varied soil types, are meticulously harvested by hand. Vinification involves a three-week maceration in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, using extraction techniques such as punching down and pumping over. The wine is then aged in stainless steel tanks before being bottled promptly.

Our Review of the Cuvée

An expressive nose reveals intense aromas of red fruit, inviting you to taste it. On the palate, the wine is characterized by a clean attack, supported by an elegant yet assertive tannic structure typical of Fer Servadou. Subtle notes of black fruit and a hint of spice combine to create a lovely aromatic finish. Light and supple, this wine pairs perfectly with grilled meats, lamb, or a bold cheese such as Laguiole, offering an authentic and refined tasting experience.

Perched on a promontory overlooking the Garonne Valley, Château du Cros enjoys a rare location at the crossroads of the great sweet wine terroirs of the right bank. The Boyer family, owners since the early 20th century, has patiently rebuilt and replanted the vineyard, opting for a variety of styles: sweet wines, dry whites, and reds.

The estate is situated on clay-limestone soils that are well-suited to Cabernet Sauvignon, which produces refined, precise reds here, focused on fruit and freshness rather than power.
