Marcillac | Red | 2024

The "No. 25" cuvée is a unique expression of the estate, crafted from hand-harvested grapes where the Fer Servadou grape reveals its full richness. Sulfite-free vinification and short maceration preserve intense fruit aromas. On the palate, it is a harmonious and structured wine thanks to aging in stainless steel tanks, which respects the purity of the fruit. The balance between freshness and roundness is perfectly achieved, offering a truly memorable tasting experience.

Our opinion on the vintage

On the nose, this wine immediately captivates with a generous bouquet of black fruit cream, enhanced by spicy and peppery nuances, revealing a delicate iron note. On the palate, the attack is smooth with a velvety texture and remarkable density that envelops the palate. The finesse of the fruit exudes an intriguing freshness, without ever disrupting the overall balance. The finish, powerful and rich, lingers elegantly, yet remains perfectly balanced.

Domaine du Cros

Bordeaux | France

Perched on a promontory overlooking the Garonne Valley, Château du Cros enjoys a rare location at the crossroads of the great sweet wine terroirs of the right bank. The Boyer family, owners since the beginning of the 20th century, patiently rebuilt and replanted the vineyard, opting for a diversity of expressions: sweet wines, dry whites, and reds.

The estate benefits from clay-limestone soils well-suited to Cabernet Sauvignon, which here produces elegant, precise reds focused on fruit and freshness rather than power. A carefully cultivated, century-old, one-hectare plot adds extra depth to certain cuvées, without ever weighing down the style.

For sweet wines, the altitude and exposure promote slow ripening and measured balance. These wines prioritize finesse and clarity over showiness, with well-integrated sugars and clean finishes. Through its various estates, the Boyer family offers a coherent and classic interpretation of the Loupiac, Graves, and Cadillac appellations, rooted in
