Château Les Hauts de Caillevel

Bordeaux | France

Located in Pomport, in the southern Bergerac region of the Dordogne, Château Les Hauts de Caillevel is an 18-hectare estate taken over in 2018 by Pierre-Étienne and Charlotte. Captivated by the beauty of the place and the potential of the terroir, they chose to settle there with their family and embark on a new life dedicated to winemaking. The vineyard features 11 grape varieties grown on the karstic rocks of the Monbazillac plateau and on clay-limestone slopes, giving the wines their uniqueness and aromatic richness. With a background outside the wine industry, Pierre-Étienne trained in organic and biodynamic viticulture and winemaking, supported by Charlotte in this shared endeavor. The estate is managed using organic farming methods, with constant attention paid to the balance of the ecosystem. The wines produced are distinguished by their lively, original, and generous character.
