K-Or 2021

Cahors | Rouge | 2021

Sourced from a single vineyard on the Causses de Cahors, K-Or 2021 is a straightforward and expressive Malbec, crafted without compromise. Gentle, sulfite-free winemaking allows the grape and the soil to shine through, while aging in concrete tanks refines the texture without masking the fruit. A sincere, intense yet approachable wine that combines depth with drinkability.

Our Review of the Cuvée

The nose is clean and precise, featuring ripe black fruits—blackberry and blackcurrant—with a hint of minerality and a touch of spice. On the palate, the attack is supple, with a well-defined, silky texture and fine, gradually developing tannins. The wine gains depth without becoming heavy, and the finish remains fresh and balanced, true to its limestone terroir.

Clos Troteligotte

Clos Troteligotte

Jura | France

Located on the Causse de Cahors, Clos Troteligotte spans approximately 19 hectares of vineyards situated at an elevation of nearly 350 meters, amidst a wooded environment. The estate has been managed organically since 2010 and biodynamically for several years, with a focus on soil preservation and biodiversity.

The vineyard is established on two primary types of clay-limestone terroirs identified within the causse: Kimmeridgian soils and iron-rich siderolithic soils. This geological diversity significantly shapes the wine profiles and necessitates a micro-parcel approach. The vines were planted starting in 1987, and the estate is currently managed by Emmanuel Rybinski, who has continued and enhanced the work initiated by the previous generation.
