Our opinion on the vintage

This wine first catches the eye with its deep garnet color. On the nose, candied black fruits mingle with light notes of mocha and licorice, with a touch of toasted spice adding character. On the palate, it is generous and round: blackberries, coffee, and toast intertwine elegantly, supported by spicy nuances. The finish lingers, with creamy flavors of black fruit and a hint of roasting, with supple tannins that make it pleasant and silky.

Domaine d'en Ségur

Domaine d'en Ségur

Sud-Ouest | France

Domaine d'en Ségur was established in 1989 by Pierre Fabre, a pharmacist and founder of the laboratories of the same name, who was passionate about botany and the bounty of the land. Deeply attached to this family estate, he placed quality at the heart of the project from the outset, choosing to work with the grapes from harvest to bottling. Lionel, a trained oenologist, joined the estate as vineyard manager to complement this work, before also taking over the winemaking, giving him a comprehensive view of the entire process from vineyard to wine. The estate now covers 38 hectares and cultivates seven grape varieties selected for their qualities and their perfect adaptation to the terroir. The clay-sand soils produce very fruity wines, while the gravelly soils contribute concentration and structure. The proximity of the Agout River creates a microclimate conducive to optimal grape ripening, with cool nights in the autumn. ... Lire plus
