Our opinion on the vintage

This wine is striking for its bright, inviting straw-yellow color. The nose offers a seductive complexity of yellow fruits, with floral hints of violet and honeysuckle, enhanced by an intriguing touch of spice. On the palate, a striking attack of freshness opens onto a lively effervescence that prepares the palate for a full and enveloping texture. Citrus flavors mingle with distinctive mineral notes, lending an elegant austerity. It all culminates in a tonic and refreshing finish, enriched by well-balanced bitterness that invites the wine to linger.

Domaine Capmartin

Domaine Capmartin

Sud-Ouest | France

Within the Madiran appellation, Domaine Capmartin is committed to offering a fresh interpretation of Tannat, the emblematic grape variety of Southwest France. The work carried out in the vineyard and cellar aims to preserve the natural structure of the grape while softening its expression through judicious technical choices.

The winemaking process favors moderate extraction and judicious use of oak, allowing the wine to breathe more fully. This approach results in reds where the tannic structure remains present but unfolds with greater suppleness and fluidity. The fruit gains clarity, the textures are balanced, and the finishes retain a remarkable drinkability.

The entire range of wines offers a modern and coherent interpretation of Madiran, attentive to freshness, readability and the evolution of the wines, without denying the identity of the terroir or that of the grape variety.
